On-device only: All files, indexes, metadata, and searches are processed and stored locally on your computer.
No cloud storage: We do not upload, store, or transmit your data to our servers.
No tracking: Kalycs does not include analytics or advertising trackers.

2. Paid Tier Only

Kalycs is a paid product with a one-time purchase.
We do not offer a free tier, and we do not monetize through data collection.

3. Optional AI Integrations

By default, Kalycs works completely offline.
If you choose to enable AI-powered features, text you select may be processed by OpenAI or another AI provider you configure with your own API key.
We do not store or log this data. Requests are sent securely and handled according to the provider's terms and privacy policy.

4. Diagnostic and Usage Data (Non-Identifying)

To improve the stability and performance of Kalycs, we collect limited technical diagnostic data that does not identify you personally:

Crash Reports

When the App crashes or encounters errors, we automatically send technical information to our crash reporting service (Sentry) including error codes, stack traces, device type, operating system version, and app version.
These reports help us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.
Crash reports do not contain user identifiers, file names, file contents, or any data that could identify you.

Error Logs

We collect information about non-crash errors and technical issues that occur during app operation.
This includes error messages, system states, and technical diagnostics.
Error logs do not include personal information, file paths, or file contents.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized data about feature usage and app performance through PostHog, such as which features are used, how often they're used, and general performance metrics.
This helps us understand which features are most valuable and guide product improvements.
Usage data is aggregated and anonymous - we do not collect user identifiers or device IDs that could personally identify you.

5. GDPR & CCPA Rights

Even though Kalycs itself does not retain your data, if you purchase the app or contact us, we may process limited personal information (such as your email for support and payment details via app stores).

Right to Access: Request a copy of any personal information we hold.
Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

6. Payments

Purchases are processed through third-party app stores (Apple App Store, Microsoft Store).
We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.

7. Children's Privacy

Kalycs is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (e.g., through an app store purchase or support request), please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will be posted on our website with the revised date.
